Important Message From Dr. Kimberly Saunders

We are writing today to let you know that one of our ConVal High School staff has a confirmed case of Covid-19.  Although this staff member didn’t start exhibiting symptoms until March 23rd, the individual may have been infected as early as March 9th.

The person’s test returned positive today and the individual has been working remotely since March 20th. The close contacts (a person that has been within six feet of the infected employee for a prolonged period of time) have been notified and were asked to self-isolate. This staff member did not have consistent contact with students. We are sharing this information because we are committed to communicating consistently with parents regarding this situation.   

Although we are nearing the end of the 14-day window for potential exposure, we are providing this notice to you out of an abundance of caution.  If you have questions about Covid-19 or your situation please call your doctor and look at the CDC website. The District is here to support everyone during this difficult time, and we all send our best wishes to the people affected.

If you have questions about Covid-19 or your situation please call your doctor. As a precaution, please be aware of symptoms, they may appear 2-14 days after exposure, they are fever, cough, shortness of breath. If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately.  Emergency warning signs include: trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion, and bluish lips or face. This list is not inclusive, please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning.
