We wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the ConVal School District’s afternoon plans.
All afterschool activities have been canceled.
To ensure that students stay warm and are safe, we will be adding walkers to bus routes. Additionally, the bus company will be working to drop every student off as close to their home as possible taking into consideration that some of the bus fleet cannot access some of our most rural areas.
We anticipate that this modification will cause our buses to be approximately 20-25 minutes late. We share this so that you will not be concerned if your student(s) are late, we strongly encourage you to keep to after-school routines related to your student’s arrival home or to after-school care in the event that the buses do not run as late as anticipated.
In order to accommodate the change to the bus schedules and to attempt to create a cushion for the tardiness of the buses, we will dismiss the middle and high school students approximately 10 minutes early. Elementary schools will message parents when buses have left the elementary school buildings.
We recognize that extending the time of bus routes is not ideal, please be patient as we work to be sure that all our students are transported home safe and warm for the weekend.
