Community Invited To Participate In Strategic Plan Focus Groups

The ConVal School Board’s Strategic Planning Committee invites community members to participate in focus groups to help the ConVal School District develop a new strategic plan.

The nine focus groups will gather input about long-term strategies and goals that are most important to community members. Feedback collected will help the District to shape a strategic plan that reflects community priorities.

Focus groups are open to all stakeholders – parents/guardians, students, staff, and residents of ConVal’s nine sending communities.

“We thank the many community members who have shown interest and who have shared their ideas through the strategic planning process thus far,” said School Board Chair Tim Theberge. “The feedback of families, students, staff and residents is vital in developing a plan that aligns with community priorities. We ask for their continued help through these focus groups.”

Community members can sign up for one of the following sessions:

  • Monday, March 7: 3:30-4:45 p.m., 5:00-6:15 p.m., or 6:30-7:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 8: 3:30-4:45 p.m., 5:00-6:15 p.m., or 6:30-7:45 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 17 (virtual): 3:30-4:45 p.m., 5:00-6:15 p.m., or 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Space is limited, so those interested should register early. To register, please click here.

Strategic plans act as a roadmap for the District to follow during a five-year period, highlighting specific projects and goals for long-term sustainable growth. The most recent strategic plan was created in 2016 and lasted through June 2021.

A draft of the strategic plan is expected to be completed by June 2022. The plan will be reviewed by the School Board and implemented after approval.
