We are writing today to let you know that one of our ConVal High School staff has a confirmed case of Covid-19. Although this staff member didn’t start exhibiting symptoms until March 23rd, the individual may have been infected as early as March 9th.
The person’s test returned positive today and the individual has been working remotely since March 20th.

As you may have already heard, this afternoon Governor Sununu enacted a stay-at-home order that extends remote instruction for all schools in the state to May 4th, 2020.
As a District, we had anticipated this possibility and are already working on increasing our capacity to facilitate remote learning for all students.

I would like to begin with an expression of thanks. We have just finished our first week of remote learning which would never have been possible without the support provided by our ConVal communities. Our technology resources have allowed us to gain a head start in our transition to “remote learning.” We are also fortunate that we can rely on a highly effective and dedicated technology team that allows our teachers to focus on instruction.

Students at Great Brook Middle School have been busy creating art while remote learning conditions are in place.
Their resourcefulness creating art like Andrew Goldsworthy with nature-found materials and art inspired by Piet Mondrian with T-shirts and socks is absolutely astounding, as are their skills in creating Zentangles.

Over the last three days, the ConVal School District delivered approximately 2,900 breakfasts and lunches from the lunch program. Neither snow nor rain kept the buses from making deliveries.
Families all over the district have expressed their gratitude, as the picture clearly shows.

All school buildings are closed. School grounds are also closed to the public; this includes school playgrounds. The District has instituted remote instruction.

Good Evening Parents,
Tomorrow, we will begin our remote learning rollout. The planning, preparation, and commitment displayed by all of the ConVal staff have been truly incredible.
Given that we have not attempted remote learning on this scale before, we will need your feedback and questions so that we can improve our processes and increase our efficiency and effectiveness related to remote learning.
