Cari Christian-Coates is a qualified educator with a strong background in Special and Early Childhood Education and School Social Work as well as Community Mental Health.

She is a skilled and qualified professional with extensive experience in Special Education and Early Childhood Education Administration as well as extensive work with children with severe emotional disabilities and their families. Cari has exceptional skills as an administrator and also an excellent ability to support families, as well as the ability to analyze, coordinate, and implement special-needs, early childhood and special education programming based on the individual needs of the students involved in special education.

Cari’s background includes managing personnel and administrating activities related to maintaining district programs, and special education PreK-12. Based on previous successes and longevity as a Special Education Administrator Cari has a varied amount of experience with a strength in advocacy, collaboration and program development.

Cari holds a M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Colby Sawyer College. She has been working in the Mental Health, Community Collaboration and Public School community since 1984, she has been with the Conval School District since 1995, starting as a School Social Worker then becoming the Assistant Director of Special Education to the current position of Assistant Director of Student Services. She holds NHDOE Certification for Special Education Administrator and School Social Worker.
